For strategic thinkers who feel passionately about helping others meet their goals, the HR Graduate Leadership Programme is a great place to explore your interests.

Lloyds Banking Group is one of the largest banks in the UK, and it’s our unique people who are key to the success of our business. Our HR team plays a crucial role in ensuring we have the right people on board to help meet the needs of more than 30 million customers, each and every day.

Our vision is to be the best bank for customers from the inside out so we can achieve our shared purpose; to help Britain prosper. Our ability to shape the culture, and support our people across the entire organisation, plays a major role in this vision. In HR, we drive transformational change and create organisational agility across the entire Group by partnering with business leaders, understanding their goals, and helping them get the best out of their people. And, to successfully help them deliver their business strategy, we need to ensure our people continue to thrive, develop, and feel fulfilled in their careers. As a graduate on this programme, your role in helping us do that will be key.

Join us, and you’ll discover how you can pursue your interests – and discover new ones – while you develop your strengths. You’ll gain the right experience to build a meaningful career, and make a real impact – in your own way.

Over two years and six months on this rotational programme, you’ll experience a variety of roles in different cities across the UK.

You’ll complete three placements in different areas of HR to broaden your skills and understanding of our function. Your fourth placement offers you a unique opportunity to explore the wider business, based on your interests and our business goals. It’s an exciting way to discover how other parts of our organisation operate.

We recognise that your strengths can help drive the success of our business, so you could find yourself strategically partnering with one of our business areas in everything from managing transformation and change to facilitating training. Or you might play a role in attracting, recruiting, developing and engaging people. You’ll also have exposure to the way we’re digitising our bank. And, you’ll work with digital tools like our collaboration platform or supporting divisions with their HR activities through our platforms.

Whatever role you take, you’ll have every opportunity to improve your skills in building relationships and inspiring others, while developing your leadership abilities too. And we’ll also support you through a relevant HR qualification.
