Our 10-week, paid Retail Customer Products Internship offers motivated, inquisitive people the opportunity to explore the breadth of our business and see how they can expand their strengths within a diverse and supportive workplace.

As a customer-focused division, our teams use powerful insights to design innovative products and services that meet the diverse needs of millions. They deliver real change and support the Group’s vision to be the best bank for customers. Which is quite a responsibility given that we’re one of Britain’s biggest banks, with the largest branch network and a leading provider of digital financial products in the UK.

On this internship, you’ll gain a unique perspective on how a FTSE 100 company works and impacts the lives of millions across Britain. This exposure will be a valuable stepping stone for your future career, as well as a head-start in the world of work.

You’ll work with teams in our customer insight or customer behaviour areas and have the chance to develop crucial project management and leadership skills. As a leading provider of credit cards, loans and motor finance in the UK, we’ll help you build your understanding of our products, how our customers behave and how we meet their needs.

On a day-to-day basis you could be:

  • assisting with the development of innovative products and services
  • constructing powerful insights about our customers
  • supporting the marketing strategy for brands like Halifax and Bank of Scotland, and
  • helping on projects connected to the integration of our new MBNA business into the Group

You’ll also have the opportunity to take part in initiatives that give back to communities and support our Charity of the Year.

First days can be daunting, so we’ll assign you a buddy as soon as you start who can help with any questions about the building, the team or the Group itself.

By the end of the internship, you’ll have developed your strengths, networked with like-minded individuals and built a clearer view on your career goals.
